The photographs in this exhibit are from a long-term documentary project about landscapes on the north central prairies and plains. I'm interested largely in ways that landscapes must adapt in an effort to maintain a region's economic survival. (Hence the ethanol plan, the new subdivision, etc.). As is the case with many documentary or "straight" photographers, the subject of my pictures is much like human aspiration. It may not always be pretty, but that doesn't mean it can't be beautiful.
